A BUSY MONTH!

Wow, what a busy month! I thought that once the open house was behind us, I would have spare time--ha, ha, ha! I have been accepted onto the Mothers' Day Studio Tour for May of next year, but since most of my work is done on commission basis, I have very little inventory for a show as large as this one is. Time to get serious, and get pastelling (is that even a word?)! Not only do I need to have more originals to offer up for sale, but I need to have those originals scanned and printed so that they can also be available. The big question is: How much inventory do I need? There is always the fear of running out, and since this is a five day show, with a lot of traffic expected, one would assume that the more I have available, the better. But what if very little of it sells?
   Oh, the dilemma!
For right now, my main focus is designing the cover for my western novel (see my writer's page for more info on this). I've been playing around with a few ideas and still not sure which is going to be the final choice. I don't consider this a waste of time, as I want to get back to my roots and produce more western theme paintings. Any rough drawings for the cover that don't make the final cut, can still be developed into finished work for my gallery.
All in good time though. Prioritize, prioritize! Since volume one of The Navarre Link is ready to go, and the only thing holding it back is the cover, well, that's what I'm focusing on for now.
Here's the rough of my first attempt. It may or may not, make the cut.
